Literacy opens up the world, reading and writing connect people.

Literacy and basic education are crucial to reduce poverty.

If all children in low-income countries left school with basic reading skills, it would significantly reduce world poverty.

To put it in the words of Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai;

“One child, one teacher, one book and one pen can change the world”

Sep 2022:

Sunchild has again sent school fees for a total of 18 children in Nigeria.

With this money the school and the books are paid.

It would of course be fantastic if we could also pay these children their uniform, writing materials and lunch….
